1. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers

If you are a consumer within the meaning of the applicable statutory provisions and book participation in the World FunDrinks Award by means of a distance contract, in particular via our website, you generally have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period is 14 days from the date on which the contract is concluded.

of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement, for example by email or by a letter sent by post.

You may use the Model Withdrawal Form provided below for this purpose, but its use is not mandatory.

To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of your right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Effects of Withdrawal

If you validly withdraw from this contract, we will generally reimburse all payments received from you in connection with the withdrawn contract.

The reimbursement will be made without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which we receive your notification of withdrawal from the contract.

Unless expressly agreed otherwise, we will use the same means of payment for the reimbursement that you used for the original transaction.

You will not incur any additional fees as a result of the reimbursement.

Commencement of Services During the Withdrawal Period

At the participant's request, we may begin providing our services before the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period.

In connection with the World FunDrinks Award, this may include, for example, processing and reviewing your registration, administrative preparation, allocation of your entries or other services directly related to the administration of your participation.

If you expressly request that we begin providing the service during the withdrawal period and you subsequently withdraw from the contract, you may be required to pay an appropriate proportionate amount, as provided by law, for the services already performed up to the time of withdrawal.

In the case of a service contract, the right of withdrawal generally expires before the end of the 14-day period only once the service has been fully performed and the applicable statutory requirements have been fulfilled.

Express Consent to Early Commencement of Services

If you wish us to begin processing your participation immediately after booking, we recommend including the following separate consent in the booking process:

“I expressly request that World FunDrinks begin providing the booked service before the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period.”

In addition:

☐ Acknowledgement of the Loss of the Right of Withdrawal

“I acknowledge that I will lose my right of withdrawal once World FunDrinks has fully performed the contract.”

Both declarations should not be pre-selected during the booking process and must be actively confirmed by the consumer.

No Statutory Right of Withdrawal for Businesses

The statutory right of withdrawal described above applies to consumers.

If registration for the World FunDrinks Award is made by a business or entrepreneur in the course of its commercial or self-employed professional activities, there is generally no statutory 14-day right of withdrawal under the Austrian FAGG.

For businesses, cancellations are governed by the General Terms and Conditions and the participation conditions of the World FunDrinks Award.

Online Withdrawal

Where required by law, consumers may also withdraw from a contract concluded online by using the online withdrawal function provided on our website.

After submitting an online withdrawal, you will receive an electronic confirmation acknowledging receipt of your withdrawal without undue delay.
